Saxa is most likely meant to represent the giant Járnsaxa, who carries on a relationship with Thor, despite the two being enemies, and they sire a child together, Magni. During the Ragnarok season 2 finale, Magne and Saxa are fighting, which soon leads to the two getting intimates. While there aren't a ton of other Ragnarok season 3 updates to go around, a moment in season 2 may have teased a separate Norse mythology subplot that could see Magne's Thor as a father. The third season will probably feature more of the serpent that Laurits birthed, diagnosed as a tapeworm that seems more a Jörmungandr incarnation, Loki's gigantic serpent, and Thor's archenemy of Norse mythology. Fjor left the Jutuls to pursue a relationship with a human and has now returned in his father's stead. Magne has finally forged Mjölnir and regained his powers after surrendering them to be normal. While they aren't too revealing, the dour tone and glum looks in every image hint at the inevitable war nearing. Nine images were revealed in total, which showcases Magne wielding Mjolnir and a new hairstyle, Lauritis looking as mischievous as ever in a church, and Saxa and Fjor managing the family business, though they don't seem very happy about it.

Though it has been so long between season 2 and season 3, the interest in Ragnarok hasn't dwindled and, if anything, interest in the series has only grown in the interim.Īlong with the Ragnarok season 3 release date announcement, Netflix revealed some first-look images of the new season, though they don't give much away. That means that a trailer will likely be released in due time and other footage of the highly-anticipated season will be teased. The most recent Ragnarok season 3 updates have finally revealed the season's release date, and it'll arrive on Aug(via Netflix), which is two years and three months after season 2 was released in May 2021.
